Course on Policies for Job and Business Formalization in the MENA Region (PJB)
September 25th to 28th, 2023
Delivered in partnership with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); equipped government officials in charge of SME, entrepreneurship policies and fiscal policy with the necessary elements to evaluate, understand and discuss the root causes of the informal economy and its societal and fiscal implications. Concepts involving taxation mechanisms and incentives, social protection, and the necessity for formalization as well as business regulatory approaches are familiarized, examined, and abstracted throughout the lectures and workshops.
