Market Access for Trade in Goods: Managing Imports with Import Restrictions and Authorizations (TP2)

This capacity building workshop for Middle East and Arab countries will be delivered by experts of the WTO Secretariat. Its objectives are to provide an overview of market access tools used to manage market access for trade in goods and, in particular, the use of import prohibitions and restrictions as well as import authorizations. The workshop will allow participants to review the restrictions, prohibitions and licensing regimes used by other WTO Members, WTO databases covering such measures, as well as some of the emerging topics and future trends related to managing import flows.
