Macroeconomic Forecasting Workshop for GCC Countries (MFA)
November 30th to December 4th, 2025
This one-week workshop, presented by the Institute for Capacity Development, gives government officials and professionals a rigorous foundation for estimating macro-econometric models and their application in nowcasting, forecasting and policy analysis. The program covers several topics, including univariate and multivariate econometric time series models and nowcasting techniques such as BRIDGE, MIDAS, and UMIDAS models. Each module includes a lecture discussing the underlying theory and a workshop with EViews applications. Participants will also engage in group exercises focused on model building, estimation, and forecasting, drawing on real data from Saudi Arabia.
